WhiteORC Systems at the 2020 IBTTA Virtual 88th Annual Meeting and Exhibition!
The IBTTA (International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association) Virtual 88th Annual Meeting and Exhibition Sept 8-16, 2020 concluded this past week after four days of pre-conference meetings including CEO Roundtables, Foundation Board, Member Committee, Past President’s Advisory Council, Finance Committee, Task Force on Diversity Social & Racial Inclusion and Toll Excellence Awards’ meetings, followed by 2.5 incredible days of tolling and transportation industry presentations from IBTTA members worldwide.
Over 1,145 attendees participated throughout the virtual conference, with the Conference Keynote Presentation on Sept 14, 2020 provided by Admiral James Stavridis, US Navy (Retired), Operating Executive of The Carlyle Group, and Supreme Allied Commander NATO during 2009-2013. Admiral Stavridis discussed Geopolitics and Leadership in the Time of Coronavirus.
Over 54 vendors exhibited in the Virtual Exhibit Hall, where conference participants were able to Network in real-time, access the vendor’s private virtual exhibitor tables via video/audio (as well as Vendor Expo general/open "hangout areas"), discuss vendor services’, and exchange business contact information - all with a "Face-to-Face" feel to it all!
The conference included a Virtual Scavenger Hunt Sept 14-16 whereby participants would contact the individual Vendor Virtual Exhibit Hall table and collect their special word/phrase.
Pat Jones, IBTTA CEO & Executive Director, announced at the conclusion of the conference that Rick Link, WhiteORC Systems, Inc., Director, Professional Services, the 2020 IBTTA Virtual Scavenger Hunt Winner! During the conference Rick discovered 48 of the 51 exhibitors’ special words/phrases. For his effort, Pat Jones awarded Rick with a $500 award.

“This was my initial IBTTA conference to attend and in between the various conference tolling presentations I used my time to virtually introduce myself and WhiteORC Systems’ cybersecurity services to as many exhibitors as possible. It was a pleasure to meet so many new business professionals, learn about their services and discuss where WhiteORC Systems’ could assist and/or compliment their teams. To be awarded a cash award is icing on the cake! I look forward to reconnecting with my new contacts and learning more about their businesses.”
Overall, it was an incredible event, made more-so by the challenges imposed to travel and interaction under pandemic conditions; It was an honor to attend this year's event, and the WhiteORC Team is grateful for the opportunity to participate!
